Main Description

In this task, Technology Knowledge Manager establishes Technology Knowledge Management Procedures by refering to the standard Capgemini procedures. Tailoring guideline can be used to tailor the standard process to suit the specific engagement or Client needs. Technology Knowledge Management Procedures must provide the workflows of various activities within the scope of Technology Knowledge Management. The Technology Knowledge Manager should establish rules for managing Technology Knowledge Objects and other SD teams will be responsible for implementing the rules. For example, the technology knowledge manager establishes policies and procedures around documenting the known error records in known error database and the Problem Management is responsible for creating and modifying those known error records in alignment with the rules.

Stakeholders who should play a key role in Technology Knowledge Management must be identified. Roles and responsibility must be detailed out and procedures to measure and report adequate key performance indicators (KPI’s) must be defined. The Technology Knowledge Manager must also identify the required skillset and need for training, if any.

Establishing these procedures would ensure that the Service Delivery teams and relevant stakeholders understand and implement the process as per the expectations of Technology Knowledge Management. These procedures should be revised if the standard processes are revised or the Client expectations get modified.
